As it stands, the Dear Santa cast and crew haven't been recalled to begin production on a follow-up, but if the movie performs well enough over the holidays, continuing the story remains a real possibility. Dear Santa's ending quite clearly teases the desire to make a sequel, and the perfect storyline already exists. So, if Dear Santa 2 receives the green light, penning the script shouldn't be too big of a task.
