10 She Was Given To Daenerys As A Handmaiden After Marriage To Drogo

Most people may not know this but Irri is played by the talented Amrita Acharia, a beautiful woman of Ukrainian and Nepalese descent. Acharia has worked on a few screen roles but being a part of the Game Of Thrones cast might have been her most memorable work yet. Initially, she appeared as a guest star in the first season but, later on, Acharia was confirmed for season two as well. In total, her character appears in 13 episodes, the first one being "The Kingsroad" and the last one "The Old Gods and the New".
3 Irri Lives For A Longer Period In The Books
Even though she was assassinated in the middle of season 2, after Daenerys's dragons were stolen, Irri's life is much longer in the novel that gave rise to this TV adaptation. While in the TV series viewers see Irri and Daenerys relationship become a true friendship, in the novel Irri's role was fundamentally to teach Khaleesi how to ride.
